How Can You Get Involved?
The UK Fulbright Alumni Network is here so that your experience as a Fulbrighter doesn't have to end with your grant. The Network connects alumni of programmes sponsored by the US-UK Fulbright Commission, as well as other Fulbright alumni who currently reside in the UK, to each other, to the global Fulbright community, and to the US-UK Commission. By staying linked to the Fulbright programme, we hope you will enjoy the life-long benefits your status as a Fulbrighter offers you.
We often hear from alumni that their Fulbright scholarship was a life-changing opportunity, enriching them both academically and culturally. Many alums choose to give back to the programme by sharing their experiences at one of our alumni panels, serving as a 'Fulbright Friend', getting involved with the Fulbright 1:1 mentoring programme, or volunteering to sit on a selection panel for one of our awards programmes.
The Fulbright community is a global one - and social media makes it easier than ever to stay in touch. Our Facebook and LinkedIn groups are the place to get the latest Fulbright news, as well as a place for you to share your news with us and fellow alumni. The US State Department also provides a platform for all US-funded exchange participants to interact - you can also get a Fulbright email for life!
Want to stay up to date on Fulbright news and special events? Sign up for our mailing list to receive regular e-bulletins and quarterly newsletters. We also love to share your updates and events with the alumni community - contact us to include something in our next communication.
We hold a variety of events in the UK each year, allowing you to meet and greet other alums, Commission staff and often times current grantees from the U.S. From informal social events, to lectures and receptions, check our calendar to see what we have planned.
